I run a turbine powerplant and run it in California. As you can imagine, emissions are a big deal round’ here.

Firing this thing up on a crisp Thursday morning and we begin to get readings through the CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System) and they are flashing RED.

We’re fucked.

Commyfornia loves to slap us with pretty hefty fines and that don’t make my boss look good. Shit only runs one way downhill.

The protocol for something like this is to call the Emissions specialist in our company and ask him if we should shutdown and investigate or run it and pay the fines.

We make the call.. no answer. We call again. Then five more times. no answer.

This guy works from home. He never answers his phone. Even though if you look at his “online status” it says he is there and ready to be at your service!

As you can imagine, I am not a fan of the people who are bitchin’ n moanin’ about having to go back to work right now.

Some of us get up everyday at the crack of dawn while your in your jammies, scrolling Instagram.

I have no sympathy for ya but we’ll see how this fight pans out.
